Yeşilbağ Camp

***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***

Although the farm is located in the Eastern Black Sea region its climate is micro-Mediterranean. This is why it is warmer and receives less rain than the rest of the region. The region’s economy is based on livestock, agriculture and small scale tourism. There are lots of historical and natural sites around and it is a great place to observe birds and wildlife. The farm is on 3 hectares of land with a hostel and restaurant. The place is run by the mother, father, daughter and son-in-law. They grow all types of vegetables, apricots, mulberries, apples, quince, pears and produce molasses and sun-dried fruit pulp. They accept both volunteers and guests and need help with gardening and in the hostel. Some of the traditional handicrafts are still in place in the region such as rug/carpet weaving and pottery. Meryem is 46 and her husband Mustafa is 53 years old.
